   Wool Pad 1

There are so many blankets on the market today it is hard to tell the one that would work the best for you and your horse. As pad companies come up with air, gel, memory, and so many others that they claim that they are the best “WHAT DO YOU DO?”

There are several functions the pad you pick should do with a saddle that fits. Some of these are, moisture management, heat retention, pressure points, and you want no problems with any slipping saddles.

My two top picks are Reinsman “100% Wool Felt” and Reinsman “Tacky Too.” There are differences in manufactures wool felt. Reinsman uses on of the highest quality on the market today. Reinsman also uses a contour design for a great fit. Reinsman “Tacky Too” is a soft non-slip material that is anti-bacterial, ventilated and deceptively tough and durable. It does not pull or collect the horse’s hair nor does it trap heat or sweat. It helps reduce sore backs and saddle roll. They have a great selection of 100% New Zealand wool blankets for the top of this pad. The “Best” One Ear Nylon Headstall

What makes this my favorite one ear nylon headstall. There are many brands to pick from and pricing from $10.00 to $15.00 each. This headstall is such a great purchase because it is durable and it has very little maintenance. Designed to provide maximum comfort for the horse and adding extra options that makes it my favorite.

Lets start out with the nylon, its one of the highest quality USA nylon on the market today with a large color choice to pick from. I like the stainless steel buckles and keepers over brass or nickel plating. Stainless is stronger than brass, this allows smaller buckles this is a plus when they are used on the bit “quick-change” design. It promotes hassle free bit changes.  With the larger brass buckles in many cases the buckle is interfering with the bit. The double stainless cheek adjustment buckles make the headstall easy to size and adjust. A better fit, especially when using gag bits that need a short headstall. This keeps the buckle away from the horse’s eyes.
The fit, quality and workmanship puts this headstall on the top of the list. Check it out at http://mcdiamond.com If you would like to purchase this headstall click here http://mcdiamond.com/headstalls/parkeroneear/parker1earl.htm
