Hello all,

Well we made it another year!  I hope that everyone had a good Christmas and a Happy New Year.    I have posted the year end points on McDiamond.  Bob has talked with Mark and we should be showing up under IN 04 and not IL o4.  As of tonight, it was not corrected, but I have been assured that it will be fixed.  I want to say thank you to all that helped at the November show at Saddle Up.  All the work was greatly appreciated. 

Nat will not be having any shows at Yankeetown during the months of January and February.  He will start back up on March 6, which will be our first show of the season.  I am going to make sure that the McDiamond website stays up to date for our shows, so that you are all in the loop on the show schedule. 

This year looks to be a promising one.  We have planned shows at some new arenas and have co-sanctioned more this year to help with the added money and to stay away from booking over other shows. 

The State Show will be July 8-11.  We will be adding an auction on Saturday evening to raise money for Breast Cancer research, Youth World Team, and the State Show.  Everyone is encouraged to donate items to be auctioned off.  You may bring them to the show and we will take care of them from there.  We will be dragging after every seven runs in the go rounds and five in the finals.  We will again offer the free ride to the finals.  We did discuss taking this away, but the money that it raises is needed to make the State Show a success.  Remember to try and get sponsors for the show.  It helps our district and most importantly, it helps you out with free stalls and other free things. 

 We will also be raising the $2 award fees to $3, with $1 going to the state and $2 going to the district. Remember to ride at the State Show you must compete in three district shows from Aug. 2009 to June 2010.  Try not to put this off and hope that there is an exception to the rule because of rain.
